| | I could'nt do the full six because my shoes were giving pain to my arches, but I will have that problem fixed soon.
| |
| | Felt good today. I replaced the sould of my old trail shoes and they are as good as new.
| | I was'nt able to go to practice today because I had a physical therapy appointment to strengthen my leg. I still haven't fully recovered from my IT band injury back in november, so I just go to these sessions to strengthen my leg. |
| | Today was fun. Joshie led us off the unbeaten path on an adventure run and though some of his routes were questionabe, we all had a good time.
| |
| | Had to go early because of an orthodontist appointment
| | My shinsplints are realling bugging me and now my IT band it hurting in my right knee, which is extremely frustrating. I just got over the same injury in my left knee and now thats its happening again I'm just glad its happening now instead of in the middle of track.
| |
| | Just took it easy on some grass today.
| | Still healing up from my shinsplints and IT injury. Thanks for the running sock thing coach.
| | My injuries are becoming really frustrating. My shinsplints are getting better but my IT band does not seem to be making much improvement. I'll just keep on stretching and rolling everynight.
| | took it easy on some turf again
| | Couldn"t make it to practice today because I had to go pick up my suit for prom.
| | Still recovering from my IT injury. My shinsplints are doing a lot better.
| |
| | Took it easy on some dirt.
| | Felt a lot better today. I think it might finally be healing up. Today I just did laps around the track and sprinted the one-hundred meter straight-aways.
| | Just got my massage and my knee is feeling good. I'll post more diligently now.
| | Knee is still healing up but it is feeling a lot stronger. just hanging in there.
| | My knee felt pretty solid today. I'm getting into better shape which is encouraging.
| | The kenyan run was a lot of fun and my knee is feeling much stronger. I'm planning on doing the workouts next weeek.
| | Felt good today during the 400 repeats. Excited for the meet on friday.
| | At the beginning of the run, I was feeling fairly strong, but towards the end my stomach just started feeling like trash and I had to finish the run in walk/run intervals. I have to thank Jon and Micah for staying behind with me and helping me through the last part, they are awesome guys.
| | Wasnt able to stay for the full practice because I had a piano lesson but I got in one fast mile and two cool down miles afterwards.
| | The kenyan run was fun and me knee felt strong. It was fun to use our track spikes for the 200 meter finishes to get a feel for tommarow. I'm not racing tommarow, but I'm super excited to go support the team.
| | Acidently slept in today so I did a fartlek workout on my own. felt good.
| | I didn't hit my splits but thats my okay my fault for not going hard over spring break. I finished the whole workout and my knees felt strong.
| |
| | Today we ran on Withtalua trail or somehing like that. It was lots of fun but the sand had my quads screaming by the end. It was worth it though the sights were awesome.
| | I had to leave early today for my piano lesson but I finished by 200 meter finishes on my own. the first four 400 felt good and I was close to my times. It feels good to see myself improving.
| | The kenyan run was really relaxing and helped me focas on my form, specifically my arms and shoulders. The 4 200's were lots of fun and it was fun to envision myself finishing a race with my spikes. Looking forward to the next two meets!
| | It was a tough workout today but it was worth it to hit a 5:40 mile, my best during a workout. looking forward to the upcoming meets and I'm excited at the prospect of maybe racing in the open 800.
| | The trail run out in arizona was HOT! The wind helped a little bit, but it is definitly getting to where I need to bring my water pack every day. The gatorade at the end was a big help in just getting some energy back into my system. Stay dry
| | Had to leave early for my piano lesson but got three repeats in by myself. Felt good.
| | Had to leave last minute for a doctors appointment my mom really didn't tell me about so I just got in an easy four on my own.
| | One of the things that I just hate about running is when you need to use the facilities when your out on the run! got it today, but the 200 finishes felt good. I'm excited for the meet tommarow!

| Race: |
Snow canyon track meet (1 Miles) 05:20:09, Place overall: 8, Place in age division: 3 | | Today was a fun, but long track meet. For the mile I ran in the slower heat and I consistently stayed in third the whole race. During the third lap, for some whatever reason I thought the race was finishing, so I sprinted the last 400 meters of the third lap like an idiot. I took third in my heat behind Josh Gibb, which was personally disappointing to me, but it just added fuel to the fire and I'm going to hammer these upcoming workouts and hopefully have a good outcome on friday and future meets to come. My current goal is to race in the fast heat and not be the last Desert Hills kid to cross the finish before the season is over. I'm excited to get going!
| |
| | Kenyan run today. My calves were a little tight but I felt really good during the whole thing. I think my massage from Adam at the running center helped tremendously. I stayed up with the whole group during the 200 repeat finishes which was encouraging. Excited to race tommarow in the 4x800!
| | Workout felt really good today and I'm super excited for the pineview relays tommarow! Holy cow packed week this week with the three different meets. its getting rough, but I know it will be worth it next X country season!
| | Today was a pretty fun nonchalant meet. It was serioiusly fun to watch the distance kids do the hurdles. I wish every meet could be like that. (not really)
| | Easy run on the trails today. I felt really good through the whole thing, but it's that season again where I have to put the hat back on. Sunburning is a real danger to us gingers.
| | Today I really felt the heat. It is definetly getting hotter outside, but besides that I felt pretty god through the whole thing. I felt pretty winded after the fifth 400 repeat, but after the short water break that everybody took, I was able to hit my splits with a couple seconds to spare. My main goal at this point is to get my cardio level of endurance higher so I can better keep up with the rest of the A group. Excited for the meet on Thursday!
| | Nice relaxing kenyan run today, but had to leave early for my piano lesson. I finished the rest of my milage on my own afterwards.
| | Today was interesting and really fun. We just ran 200 meter finishes to our hearts content with a two-mile warmup. It was pretty fun to see how many we could all do. I stopped after 15 because my shoes were giving me some mild pains in my arch so I just took my shoes off and jogged on the turf for the rest of practice. I'm glad were not going to the richfield meet as a team on Saturday; it would have taken forever.
| | Easy kenyan run today. Excited for tommarow.
| | Felt good today during the easy four miles, and I have high hopes for the jv meet tommarow. Gotta get below 5.10 and I also want to know josh gibbs time tonight so I can shoot to take it down.
| |
| | First day of X country!!!!!! Super excited. today was a swift kick in the butt to my cardio because I havnt been going to hard these past couple weeks butt that sure is about to change.
